About Us

Hunter Ability Support was founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves independence, dignity, and a support team that truly cares.

We provide personalised disability support services, compassionate aged care services, and reliable transport services, ensuring every individual has the opportunity to live life on their own terms.

Based in Maitland and proudly serving Newcastle and the wider Hunter Valley, we are deeply connected to the local community. Our team knows the region inside and out—from the heart of Newcastle to the surrounding rural areas—and we’re committed to delivering support that reflects the values, pace, and needs of the people who live here. Whether it’s in-home assistance, respite care, or daily transport, our services are designed to feel familiar, friendly, and close to home.

Our core values drive everything we do:

  • Respect & Dignity – Everyone we support is treated as an individual, with their own dreams, choices, and voice.

  • Reliability & Trust – We show up when we say we will, ensuring participants can rely on us, stress-free.

  • Compassion & Understanding – We’re not just providers; we’re people who genuinely care about making life better for our clients.

  • Transparency & Integrity – Open communication and honesty are at the heart of our operations. Clients and families always have clear access to information about their care, costs, and services.
